1) The Slanted PVC plates reduce the noise generate by the impact of the rain droplets on the water basin. They are located in the basin just above the water level. The rain minimizes the noise. The water is then slowly drained down to the basin. The typical attenuation of the rain water noise
amounts to 50 to 8 dB(A), deppending of the spcific water flow. Addtional attenuation may be obtained by adding a plastic tissue on the laths.
2) The S profile and the thickness ensure a high stiffness, allowing a large span between supports, and avoid noisy vibrations which may be generated by the water droplets impact.
